Sunrise UPC becomes first company in the world to fully equip staff with 5G technology

Sunrise UPC has become the first business in the world to fully equip its employees with 5G devices, including providing staff with the 5G Elitebook from HP. The move means Sunrise UPC is now one of the most modern workplaces in Switzerland.

Old employee laptops will be professionally refurbished and distributed to disadvantaged people in a programme developed with Caritas – the organisation that prevents, alleviates and combats poverty in Switzerland and worldwide – making it easier for them to access the internet and learn digital skills.

Since the end of 2020, all Sunrise UPC employees have been receiving a 5G business phone and will now be equipped with HP laptops containing 5G technology as part of the company’s introduction of the ‘Ultimate Digital Workplace’ initiative, which also includes innovative models for mobility and flexible working.
