It’s a fast-moving, dynamic business environment – with Finance at the centre of everything we do, striving to achieve optimal returns on capital, deliver an efficient control and planning framework, and drive our levered equity strategy.

Join us on our dedicated graduate scheme in the UK or the Netherlands, and you’ll gain in-depth experience of our Finance operation, while developing your expertise, studying for the internationally recognised CIMA professional qualification, laying the groundwork for a future leadership career and earning a salary of £40,000 in the UK and €44,000 in NL!

What to expect

Our scheme consists of three 12-month rotations across a range of departments including:

  • Capital Allocation & Business Control
  • Audit, Risk & Compliance
  • Finance Operations
  • Group Reporting & Technical Accounting
  • Tax
  • Property
  • Facilities & Fleet
  • Procurement

You’ll start off by building your core understanding of the structure, processes, and systems of Finance, before moving into roles within our UK and European operating companies and ventures and finally gaining experience in more specialist areas like Treasury, Strategy and M&A.

We will also fully fund and support you to achieve your CIMA qualification. This will be completed through an apprenticeship, with generous study leave and pay progression that are both above industry standards.  Alongside a CIMA qualification, you will follow a solid learning and development curriculum to help you build valuable business & soft skills. Courses will include presentation training, effective business writing, partner management & many more.

What we look for

We’re looking for graduates with a growth mindset, and keen to spread their wings to another country during, and beyond, the scheme. We want to see your passion for finance, your love of being challenged and your desire to come up with ideas that inspire and influence our senior leaders. We’re more interested in your qualities rather than specific qualifications. Other qualities we would like in graduates include:

  • Curiosity
  • Resilience
  • Collaboration
  • Highly analytical approach
  • Confident enough to question

Our purpose is building Tomorrow’s Connections Today, and our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion vision is at the core of this. We believe in creating a culture that empowers our colleagues to achieve their potential and bring their whole selves to work every day. We are committed to taking on discrimination in all its forms and being a positive force for good in the world today.

“A key moment from my time at Liberty Global is that I was given a very big project on one of my first days, not only was it the project itself but it was the trust I was given from day one. My first project was to investigate new technology vendors within the automation and robotics area and whittle initial research of 40 vendors down to three key vendors which are now used within the automation space in the Shared Service Centre.”
