Liberty Global Ventures, the technology investment arm of Liberty Global, has announced a strategic investment in ElevenLabs, the world’s leading voice AI company.

The partnership marks an important step in ElevenLabs’ growth as it advances its voice and audio-AI technologies and strengthens its position at the forefront of the next wave of human-computer interaction.

Founded in London in 2022, ElevenLabs has rapidly emerged as a leading platform in the voice AI market. The company began with its breakthrough work in ultra-realistic text-to-speech and has evolved into a comprehensive audio-AI platform that supports speech generation, dubbing, voice design and conversational agents.

Its models operate across more than 70 languages and enable digital products to interact with users in ways that feel natural and expressive. This technology is already reshaping customer experience, accessibility, and content creation across global markets.

For the telecommunications sector, ElevenLabs’ platform creates new opportunities for more intuitive and intelligent customer interactions. This includes natural-sounding AI support agents that deliver faster, more human assistance, as well as voice-first interfaces for connected devices and entertainment platforms that make it easier for customers to search and access content.

The investment will support ElevenLabs’ continued growth as it scales its foundational voice model globally and deepens its work across industries worldwide, with partners including Salesforce, Bertelsmann, Just Eat, Klarna, and Synthesia. Liberty Global Ventures joins some of the world’s pre-eminent investors including Sequoia, A16Z and ICONIQ, as well as KPN Ventures and T.Capital, the corporate investment arm of Deutsche Telekom, in backing ElevenLabs.

Rebecca Hunt, Partner, Liberty Global Ventures, said: “Voice is becoming the next major interface for technology, and ElevenLabs is defining what’s possible in this space. The investment continues our track record of providing early backing for transformational tech infrastructure companies; we are honoured to be backing this category-defining team.”

Mati Staniszewski, Co-founder and CEO of ElevenLabs, said: “Entering a strategic partnership with Liberty Global is a welcome endorsement from one of the world’s biggest providers of connectivity services and marks a further step forward in bringing emotionally rich, lifelike voice AI to millions of households.”
