The Role
We’re looking for a Sales Account Executive to join our dynamic team in Sheffield.
This is an exciting junior business development role, ideal for someone passionate about clean energy and looking to grow their career in sales and account management.
You’ll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and supporting the team in identifying and bidding for public sector contracts – increasingly leveraging AI tools to enhance research, qualification, and tendering processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and engage new business prospects across the UK, focusing on public sector and clean energy sectors.
- Manage and grow relationships with existing Egg clients, ensuring exceptional customer experience and retention.
- Utilise AI-driven tools to research, qualify, and bid for public sector opportunities.
- Work closely with marketing and pricing teams to tailor proposals and campaigns for prospects.
- Attend client meetings, site visits, and industry events as required.
- Contribute ideas to improve sales processes, decision-making, and market agility.
- Collaborate with colleagues in Sheffield a minimum of two days per week for team sessions, planning, and innovation.
About You
- Relevant years’ experience in business development, prospecting, or telemarketing, ideally within solar, EV charging, or clean energy sectors.
- A self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, who approaches every task with energy, ownership, and focus on achieving outcomes.
- Customer-focused mindset — you always consider how actions and decisions impact the customer experience.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, comfortable engaging a wide range of stakeholders.
- Strong organisation and self-management skills with the ability to prioritise effectively.
- Comfortable using CRM systems, AI tools, and digital platforms to manage pipelines and opportunities.
- Passionate about sustainability and excited to be part of a growing clean-tech business.
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and industry events.
