We are looking for a Sernior Finance Manager to join us in Bradford.
To lead and oversee the Financial Accounts team in AtlasEdge Accounting Operations, covering multiple European legal entities within the group. The role ensures integrity of financial results, robust controls, support for statutory audits and leadership of both qualified and apprenticeship finance staff.
You will be responsible for the Financial Accounts team in Atlas Edge, overseeing all aspects of financial accounting. This includes fixed asset accounting (including construction in progress), lease accounting, and external debt management, covering DFCs, interest, and drawdowns. Also responsible for bank and cash management, VAT, SBCE, and derivative accounting.
What will you be doing?
- Month-End & Year-End Close
- Ownership of end‑to‑end month‑end accounting including journals, reconciliations, reviews and commentary
- Oversight of below‑the‑line accounting including DFCs, DAC, interest, VAT and debt schedules
- Review of balance sheet reconciliations
- People Management
- Line management of team members including apprentices L3 and L4 staff
- Responsibility for workload allocation, development, performance reviews and support
- Systems, Controls & Process Improvement
- Driving process efficiencies, standardisation and automation across finance processes
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards, manuals and group policy
- Stakeholder Management
- Regular engagement with internal stakeholders
- Partnering with real estate, project, treasury and wider finance teams
- Provide ongoing audit & statutory reporting support
We tend to look for people with:
Essential:
- Professional Accountancy qualification (ACA; ACCA etc)
- Knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS preferred
- Exposure to complex accounting along with experience of working within large corporate structures.
- Attention to detail – ability to prepare and review timetables, plans and performance metrics accurately, and identify and drive the resolution of errors or issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience of working in a complex environment, delivering to deadlines
- Strong excel skills essential
- Financial systems skills beneficial (e.g.Oracle, SAP, Hyperion/HFM)
