AtlasEdge, a leading European data centre platform, announced today the opening of its latest data centre in Stuttgart (STR001). This marks the completion of the first phase of an ambitious project that will deliver 10,000m² of space and 20MW of power.

Located in Böblingen, part of the Stuttgart metropolitan area, STR001 meets the surging demand for scalable colocation options and connectivity in one of Germany’s most important economic and industrial hubs.

Built using sustainable modular construction methods that optimise resource use, the facility is 100% powered by renewable energy and is fully compliant with the German Energy Efficiency Act (Energieeffizienzgesetz).

STR001 further strengthens AtlasEdge’s presence in Germany, where the company now operates eight data centres. The DACH region is a key focus area for AtlasEdge, with its strong industrial base, robust demand for capacity, and increasing public investment in digital infrastructure positioning it as a driver of Europe’s next phase of digital growth.

Georg Raiser, Managing Director for DACH at AtlasEdge, said: “This new facility directly supports businesses in and around one of Germany’s most dynamic and innovative cities. Sustainability has been a core
consideration throughout, fully aligned with our commitment to creating a truly sustainable digital society.”

Tesh Durvasula, CEO of AtlasEdge, said: “We’re proud to deliver a best-in-class facility that meets the growing demand for capacity in Stuttgart. Germany, and the DACH region more broadly, is a cornerstone of our growth strategy, and this opening is another important step as we continue to invest in the next wave of European data centre markets.”
