We recognise that traffic and deliveries are among the issues of greatest interest to local communities during construction. This page will therefore provide advance notice, where possible, of planned road works, access arrangements, delivery periods and abnormal load movements associated with the project.
No abnormal loads or wind turbine components will be transported on the C72. Traffic will consist of typical construction vehicles such as HGVs, vans and site welfare units.
Delivery of wind turbine components is expected to begin from September 2027, arriving via the Port of Cairnryan before travelling to the site via the A77, U90w and U84w.
