UPC Direct-to-Home – or DTH – is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Liberty Global which specialises in delivering television via satellite to consumers in Central Europe.

We serve a total of 826,9001 subscribers across the region. In Hungary we go under the brand name UPC Direct, while in the Czech Republic and Slovakia our operating name is freeSAT. In Romania we are known as FocusSat.

UPC DTH’s services are operated from our headquarters in Luxemburg, from where we offer basic and extended tiers of programming, including 16 free-to-air channels and a basic tier of 50-to-70 video channels, depending on the location.

We also offer premium channels, HD programming, electronic programme guides and DVR services.

In 2013, UPC DTH launched a CI+ module offer in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. Combined with a smart card, this enables subscribers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia to receive its enhanced video service without a set-top box. DVRs are also available.

In 2015, UPC DTH launched its first triple-play offer in Hungary. Through a third-party network, subscribers in Hungary can also receive broadband internet with in-home WiFi and telephony services, in addition to their DTH services.
