Virgin Media is the first provider of all four services – enhanced video, broadband internet, fixed-line digital telephony, and mobile – in the United Kingdom (UK). Virgin Media provides these services to 13.0 million cable service subscribers (RGUs), represented by 5.2 million customers, and to 3.0 million mobile subscribers as of September 30, 2016.
Virgin Media’s cable services are available to 30% of UK television homes. It offers advanced interactive television service, bringing together broadcast television, video on demand, and the best of web in a single set-top box powered by TiVo.
Virgin Media also offers a range of services to business customers across the UK.

Virgin Media provides enhanced video services offering different packages starting with a package that includes 61 video channels and several radio channels. Virgin Media also offers its customers a variety of premium channels, HD programming, interactive services such as VoD, an electronic program guide, and DVR services (TiVo). Virgin Media also offers a comprehensive internet streaming video service, Virgin TV Anywhere, that allows its video customers to stream up to 117 real-time video channels, and watch VoD content anywhere in the UK where they have a broadband connection. In addition, Virgin Media offers the next generation platform TiVo to its digital video customers and at September 30, 2016 it had 3.1 million connected customers. TiVo customers can also access real-time television channels as well as manage their TiVo box with a smartphone, tablet or laptop.
Virgin Media offers multiple tiers of broadband internet services. Virgin Media offers download speeds of up to 200 Mbps utilizing EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. Broadband internet services are available to all of Virgin Media’s homes passed.
Virgin Media provides one of the largest fixed-line digital telephony services in the country. Its telephony services are available to almost all of its homes passed.
Virgin Media also offers mobile voice & data services as a virtual network operator. It offers its mobile service on both a pre-paid and post-paid basis. In addition, Virgin Media has an extensive network of public WiFi hotspots, including the London underground train (or Tube) stations, available to its customers.
Virgin Media Business
Virgin Media Business offers voice, data, and internet solutions nationwide and its next-generation network is able to reach 85% of businesses in the UK. Virgin Media Business solutions include broadband and internet services, site to site connectivity, VPN solutions, telephony solutions, business network services, call center solutions, and cloud and data center services to business customers across the UK. Virgin Media Business customers get access to the UK’s largest nationwide fiber optic network.
