Ziggo is the largest cable television operator in the Netherlands. Ziggo offers video, broadband internet, and fixed-line telephony (VoIP) to 9.7 million service subscribers (RGUs) represented by 4.0 million customers as of September 30, 2016. It also offers mobile voice and data services.
Ziggo customers are located throughout the Netherlands, including the major cities of Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague, Utrecht, and Maastricht. All of its networks are upgraded to two-way capability, and all of its cable homes are served by a network with a bandwidth of at least 860 MHz.
Ziggo also offers a range of video, broadband internet, voice, and data services to business customers and wholesale partners.

Ziggo provides basic and enhanced video services. For its enhanced video subscribers, Ziggo offers different packages starting with a package that includes 74 video channels and several digital radio channels (including the channels in its basic service). In addition, Ziggo offers its customers a variety of premium channels, HD programming, interactive services such as VoD and ‘catch-up’ TV, an electronic programming guide, as well as DVR services. MyPrime, the SVoD video-streaming service, is also available. A basic video subscriber receives 30 (depending on location) video channels and several radio channels.
Ziggo also offers Horizon TV, our next generation video platform, which had 977,000 subscribers at September 30, 2016. Ziggo also offers Horizon Go, offering customers access to linear channels, VoD programming and remote DVR management, across multiple devices while in the home. Also available is a CI+ module that enables subscribers to view its enhanced video service through a CI+ module without the need for a set-top box.
Enhanced Video penetration3
Ziggo offers multiple tiers of broadband internet service. Download speeds of up to 200 Mbps are available (depending on location), utilizing EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. In 2013, Ziggo launched WiFiSpots across its footprint which provides free WiFi access to its customers who are traveling within the footprint. Ziggo has 1.9 million WiFiSpots throughout the Netherlands as of September 30, 2016.
Ziggo provides fixed-line voice with feature-rich digital telephony via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol). Its VoIP services are available to all of its homes passed. Ziggo also offers mobile data and voice services as a MVNO (mobile virtual network operator). Mobile services are offered as an option to customers who subscribe to at least one other product: video, broadband internet or fixed-line telephony. Ziggo served 227,000 mobile subscribers as of September 30, 2016.
