Telenet is the largest cable television operator in Belgium. Telenet offers quadruple-play services consisting of video, broadband internet, and fixed-line telephony (VoIP) as well as mobile voice and data services to 4.9 million service subscribers (RGUs) represented by 2.2 million customers as of June 30, 2016.

Telenet’s customers are primarily located in the Flanders region and approximately one-third of the capital city of Brussels. Its networks are all upgraded to two-way capability and almost 80% of its cable homes passed are served by a network with a bandwidth of at least 750 MHz. Telenet makes its quadruple-play services available to all of its homes passed.

Telenet also offers a range of voice and broadband internet services to business customers and wholesale partners throughout Belgium and parts of Luxembourg.

Liberty Global indirectly owns 57.4% of Telenet, as of June 30, 2016. Telenet is listed on NYSE Euronext Bruxelles.

Telenet provides basic and enhanced video services. For its enhanced video subscribers, Telenet offers various packages starting with a package that includes 75 video channels and several radio channels (including channels in its basic video service). Subscribers may also receive its enhanced video service through a CI+ module. In addition, Telenet’s offers its customers a variety of premium channels, HD programming, interactive services such as VoD, ReplayTV and ‘catch-up’ TV, an electronic program guide, as well as DVR services. A basic video subscriber receives 21 video channels and several radio channels.

In February 2013, Telenet launched Yelo and at June 30, 2016, it had over 1.7 million connected subscribers. In addition, Telenet offers Yelo Play which allows Telenet’s enhanced video customers to remotely manage their DVR, view programs remotely and access VoD with a tablet, smartphone or laptop in the home and on the go.

Telenet offers multiple tiers of broadband internet service. Download speeds of up to 200 Mbps are available with Telenet FiberNet, utilizing EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. Telenet FiberNet services are available to all of its homes passed. Telenet has an extensive network of Community WiFi (Wi-free) across its footprint which provides free WiFi access to its customers who are traveling within its footprint. Telenet has nearly 1.3 million Wi-free spots as of June 30, 2016. It also has approximately 2,000 public hotspots covering train stations, bars, hotels and similar public places.

Telenet offers fixed-line telephony via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to all its homes passed. In addition, Telenet offers mobile telephony services as a full MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) under the "Telenet Mobile" brand name. Following its acquisition of BASE in February 2016, Telenet became a mobile network provider in Belgium.
