Telenet is the largest cable television operator in Belgium. Telenet offers quadruple-play services consisting of video, broadband internet, and fixed-line telephony as well as mobile voice and data services to 4.8 million service subscribers (RGUs) represented by 2.1 million customers as of December 31, 2014.

Telenet’s customers are primarily located in the Flanders region and approximately one-third of the capital city of Brussels. Its networks are all upgraded to two-way capability and all of its cable homes passed are served by a network with a bandwidth of at least 550 MHz. Telenet makes its quadruple-play services available to all of its homes passed.

Telenet also offers a range of voice and broadband internet services to business customers and wholesale partners throughout Belgium and parts of Luxembourg.

Liberty Global indirectly owns 56.6% of Telenet, as of December 31, 2014. Telenet is listed on NYSE Euronext Bruxelles.

Telenet provides digital and analog cable video services. For its digital cable subscribers, Telenet offers various packages starting with a basic package that includes 75 video channels and several radio channels (including channels in its analog service). In addition, Telenet’s offers its customers a variety of premium channels, HD programming, interactive services such as VoD and ‘catch-up’ TV, an electronic program guide, as well as DVR services. An analog basic cable subscriber receives 21 video channels and several radio channels.

In February 2013, Telenet launched its next generation platform Yelo TV and at December 31, 2014, it had over 400,000 connected subscribers. In addition, Telenet offers Yelo TV apps that allow Telenet’s digital video customers to remotely manage their DVR, view programs remotely and access VoD with a tablet, smartphone or laptop.

Telenet offers multiple tiers of broadband internet service. Download speeds of up to 160 Mbps are available with Telenet FiberNet, utilizing EuroDOCSIS 3.0 technology. Telenet FiberNet services are available to all of its homes passed. Telenet has an extensive network of Community WiFi (Wi-free) across its footprint which provides free WiFi access to its customers who are traveling within its footprint. Telenet has over 1.2 million Wi-free spots as of December 31, 2014. It also has approximately 2,000 public hotspots covering train stations, bars, hotels and similar public places.

Telenet offers multi-feature digital telephony via VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) to all its homes passed. In addition, Telenet offers mobile telephony services as a full MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) under the “Telenet Mobile” brand name.
