We believe that the highest standards of Corporate governance are essential to our business integrity and performance. As part of our commitment to being a responsible business, we adhere to a Code of Business Conduct that applies to all of our employees, directors and officers. In addition, we have adopted a Code of Ethics for our CEO and senior financial officers.
Liberty Global’s Board of Directors consists of 12 persons. Of these 12 persons, 10 are both independent and non-executive directors, one is a non-executive director and one is an executive director. The executive director is the only director who is an employee of Liberty Global. Eleven directors are male and one is female.
Our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) meets every six weeks. Rick Westerman, Senior Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Responsibility, reports to the ELT on corporate responsibility topics. Mr Westerman also updates the Board of Directors every quarter on the most material corporate responsibility issues.
A dedicated team based in our offices in Amsterdam leads the execution of our CR strategy, supported by a network of managers and employees with shared responsibility for CR delivery throughout our operations.
Ultimately, delivery of our CR strategy resides with all of our employees – individually and collectively. We believe that it is important to help all our employees act in a responsible way. We therefore involve employees through a range of mechanisms, as part of our stakeholder engagement process.
