In 2014, Liberty Global supported Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October by ‘thinking pink’. Colleagues wore the color pink throughout the month and participated in a variety of fundraising activities including bake sales, raffles, sponsored bike rides and a 5K Run in support of women with breast cancer. Several of our markets also offered customers the opportunity to join the Think Pink efforts and raised money via our Video on Demand platform. Overall, Liberty Global raised more than $138,000. But Think Pink wasn’t just about raising money – it was about raising awareness and encouraging early detection. A number of our offices hosted workshops for employees to raise awareness of the risk factors and early warning signs for breast cancer. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is our selected charitable cause every two years. In alternate years, we support Movember to raise awareness and funds to support men’s health research, specifically prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
