Liberty Global has released its 2018 Corporate Responsibility Report, “Harnessing technology to create a better world”, which provides an overview of our economic, social and environmental impact and performance.

The report looks at inspiring examples of all the amazing work our people are doing to empower positive change. Their collective efforts have made a significant difference across all our operating regions.

Case studies from our Corporate Responsibility Report include our flagship ‘Digital Imagination’ programme, which helps young people develop digital skills of the future.

It also helps entrepreneurs develop ideas which create social change and inspires collective solutions to society’s most pressing issues.

The efforts of our operating companies are also highlighted. Virgin Media’s inclusion programme is making significant progress in removing internal barriers for disabled employees, while Unity Media’s Digital Imagination Challenge focuses on developing innovative tools for social inclusivity.

Liberty Global CEO Mike Fries said: “We are committed to empowering our customers to make the most of their video, internet and communications services by making significant, multi-billion dollar annual investments in our digital platforms and broader infrastructure. We are the speed leader at scale in the markets we operate in, and by delivering faster speeds and greater bandwidth, we’re boosting economies, transforming businesses and improving people’s lives.”

We also remain firmly committed to responsible procurement, which means collaborative, intentional relationships with suppliers that both mitigate risk and identify opportunities for improvement across the supply chain.

We’ve also become the first cable operator to set ambitious science-based targets to reduce Scope 1,2 and 3 carbon emissions.
